Port Coquitlam’s 12 Days Of Christmas Campaign Returns To Light Up The City

News

Port Coquitlam's 12 Days of Christmas holiday campaign is back for its sixth year, inviting residents to illuminate their homes, support local businesses, and give back to the community throughout the holiday season.

In 2024, more than 70 residents showcased their holiday spirit by sharing photos of their brilliantly decorated homes. This year, the City aims even higher: residents can submit a night-time photo for a chance to win a daily $150 prize in gift cards $75 from the City of Port Coquitlam and $75 from the Port Coquitlam Downtown Business Improvement Association (PoCo BIA). One winner will be randomly selected from Dec 1–12 and notified according to the Contest Rules.

To brighten public spaces, the City has lit up key areas across the community, including downtown Port Coquitlam’s Shaughnessy Street, City Hall, Veterans Park, Leigh Square, Donald Street Pathway, Port Coquitlam Community Centre, the northside commercial area at Prairie Avenue and Coast Meridian Road, and select trees throughout the City.

Residents can upload photos at portcoquitlam.ca/brightenpoco or post on social using #WinterInPoCo and #WinterInTheCity, tagging the City (@CityofPoCo on BlueSky, X and Instagram; @portcoquitlam on Facebook). The contest is open to Port Coquitlam residents of all ages; full eligibility and submission details are in the Contest Rules.
