Ready, Set, Summer: Summer Registration Opens May 12

Summer is just around the corner—get ready to dive into an unforgettable season of fun!  
Port Coquitlam residents of all ages can move, create, and connect with camps, sports, fitness, arts programming, swimming lessons, and more.  

Registration opens Tuesday, May 12, at 8:00 a.m. for Port Coquitlam residents and Friday, May 15, at 8:00 a.m. for the general public.

Register online at portcoquitlam.ca/register for the following programs: 

  • Summer Camps (Ages 3 to 14): Summer camps are back! From biking, arts and musical theater, sports, swimming, and week-long adventure camps, there is something for every child and youth. Details in the summer leisure guide, pages 4-11.

  • Biking Programs: Summer is the perfect time to get into gear and enroll your child in one of our Little Sprockets bike programs or Trail Blazer Bike Camps. Learn more on page 14.

  • Youth Activities: Join us for Skateboard and Scooter Jam at Railside Skate Park. Admission is FREE! Learn more about Youth Programs on pages 32-35.

  • Seniors Activities (Adult 60+): Join carpet bowling, table tennis, snooker and more. Not sure where to begin? Join us for a New Member Info session where you will learn about the Seniors membership, meet staff and other members. Registration is required. Learn more about Senior's programming on page 44. 

  • Art Programs (Ages 8-15): New this summer, design and make your own stuffies, zhuzh up your clothing, build your own creations in clay, or make extraordinary sculptures using everyday materials. Learn more about Arts & Culture programming on pages 44-49.

  • Terry Fox Library: Join the Summer Reading Club! Learn more on pages 50 and 51 or visit fvrl.ca.

  • Swimming Lessons (All ages): Swim lessons will be available for a variety of swim levels, including Parent and Tot, Preschool, Swimmer, and Advanced Aquatics.

  • Skating programs and lessons (All ages): Take private or group lessons to perfect your skating technique. Schedule: portcoquitlam.ca/skating.

  • Fitness (All ages): A variety of aerobics classes, yoga, and wellness classes for all fitness abilities. Schedule: portcoquitlam.ca/fitness.

  • Sports (Adults 18+): Get moving this summer and try a new sport. Learn more about Sports programs on pages 28-31 or view the Sports Schedule: portcoquitlam.ca/sports.

Financial Assistance, Accessibility, and Inclusion  

The City offers a variety of support and resources to ensure all residents can get involved in recreation and arts programs. Through the Financial Assistance Program, eligible families can receive a 75 per cent discount on activities, including camps.

Registration Tips 

Follow these tips to make registration smoother and increase your chances of getting into your preferred programs: 

  • Manage Your Account: Create or update your ActiveNet account at portcoquitlam.ca/register. Use Active Net filters to narrow down your search and find the programs suitable for you and your family members. Ensure your contact information and profile details are accurate for you and any linked family members. For children, please call (604) 927-PLAY (7529) to update allergy details, support needs, life jacket needs, walking permissions, and emergency contacts.

  • Preview Programs Early: Browse programs online before registration day to view the most up-to-date offerings. Summer programs will be available to view online starting May 5, 2026.

  • Build Your Wishlist: “Heart” your favourite programs to create a personalized wishlist. On registration day, simply open your wishlist and register directly. There is no need to search again. (Note: You must sign into your account to use this feature).

  • As you register for summer camps, double-check that all required information is accurate and up to date. These details help us provide the best care for your child!
