Celebrate Culture Days 2026 With Free Arts and Culture Programming

The City of Port Coquitlam is inviting residents of all ages to take part in Culture Days, running from September 18 to October 4, 2026. This annual celebration offers a diverse range of free arts and culture programs designed to help residents create, connect, learn and engage with local arts and culture. 

Programming will include: 

  • Cultural Roundtable: An evening of percussion with musician Boris Sichon – Thursday, September 17, 6–8 p.m. at the Michael Wright Art Gallery. Launch into Culture Days and network with the local arts, culture and heritage community. All welcome. Register here

  • Family Art in the Gallery – Saturdays, Sept. 19, 26 and Oct. 3, 10 a.m. to noon, at the Michael Wright Art Gallery. A free drop-in program where families can explore the current exhibition and create an art piece to take home. 

  • Fluid Art Demonstration with Marika Morissette – Wednesday, Sept. 23, 1-2:30 p.m., at the Michael Wright Art Gallery. A live acrylic pour painting demonstration open to all ages. Register here

  • Art Focus Demo by Professional Artist Lori Goldberg – Wednesday, Sept. 23, 7-9 p.m., at The Outlet. 

  • Film Screening: Laxwesa Wa: Strength of the River – Saturday, Sept. 26, 2 to 3 p.m., at the Michael Wright Art Gallery. Presented in recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Register here

  • Exhibition Opening Reception – Thursday, Oct. 1, 6 to 8 p.m., at the Michael Wright Art Gallery. Featuring four new exhibitions, live music and refreshments.
