Get ready for a day of community spirit and excitement as downtown Port Coquitlam comes alive. Join thousands of visitors from across Metro Vancouver for free family fun, vibrant local culture, exciting live entertainment, and the annual Rotary May Day Parade, a regional highlight.
The celebration continues into the afternoon in Leigh Square with the exciting new Kids Stage and shows at the brand-new water fountain at 2:15 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., followed by the Party in the Square at the Terry Fox Hometown Square at the Port Coquitlam Community Centre (PCCC).
Early birds can also enjoy a pre-parade pancake breakfast from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. in the Outlet at Leigh Square, supporting the 4th PoCo Scouts.

- May Days Kids’ Bike Race: 10:00 a.m.
Fast-paced fun! This high-energy race sees approximately 500 young cyclists, from beginners to experienced riders participate in promoting healthy living and family fun. - Rotary May Day Parade: 11:00 a.m.

Parking, Road Closures and Detours
Significant road closures and parking restrictions will be in effect in downtown Port Coquitlam on Saturday, May 10, starting at 7:00 a.m. and lasting until 7:30 p.m. Please note that "closed" indicates no vehicle access.
- 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.: Wilson Avenue Closed – Between Mary Hill Road and Kingsway Avenue (Medical building accessible).
- 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.: Leigh Square Place east of Shaughnessy Street Closed.
- 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.: McAllister Avenue Closed – Between Shaughnessy Street and Donald Street.
- 9:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.: McAllister Avenue Closed – West of Shaughnessy Street to the laneway.
- 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.: Shaughnessy Street (Pitt River Road to Atkins Avenue) - Closed for parade assembly and dispersal. No street parking from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Also: Rindall Avenue, Central Avenue, Hawthorne Avenue, Welcher Avenue, Tyner Avenue Closed for parade assembly and dispersal.
- 9:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.: Shaughnessy Street (Wilson Avenue to Underpass), Elgin Avenue, Mary Hill Road, Hawthorne Avenue to Tyner Avenue - Closed during the parade. Also: Wilson Avenue Closed – between Mary Hill Road and Shaughnessy Street.
Please use alternate routes such as the Coast Meridian Overpass, Lougheed Highway, Reeve Street, and Pitt River Road.
To ensure the safety of all participants and vendors during the May Days celebrations, the City has implemented comprehensive security measures, including truck blockades, an increased presence of security staff, dedicated security personnel, and strategically placed portable vehicle barriers to control access throughout the event area.
2025 May Days Entertainment Lineup
- NEW! Kids Stage in Leigh Square: 12:00 to 2:00 p.m.- Enjoy a variety of performances, including choral music spanning multiple genres, youthful covers of popular hits, and captivating circus acts featuring juggling and acrobatics.
- Choral Connections - An adult choir from the Tri-Cities and Ridge Meadows areas, performing a wide range of genres including sacred, classical, pop/rock, jazz, folk, and show tunes.
- The Coyotes - A group of Tri-Cities young musicians covering pop and rock hits.
- West Coast Circus – Performing juggling, diabolos and other acrobatic feats.
- Baron Band - local band performing a variety of classic rock covers.
- Main stage at Terry Fox Hometown Square: 1:00 to 8:30 p.m. - featuring soulful singer-songwriter performances, upbeat indie-pop, generational hit music, a country-rock blend, and high-energy rock and roll.
- Shauna Singer - Expect soulful, original songs from this local singer-songwriter, perfect for a relaxed afternoon
- Nette Songs - indie-pop artist brings a modern, upbeat vibe, sure to get the crowd moving.
- Generations - This local band takes you on a musical journey through the decades, playing popular hits that span generations.
- Johnny Bootleg - A local favorite, this band mixes country twang with rock energy for a lively show.
- The Limit - A high-energy rock and roll band, The Limit delivers powerful performances with classic rock vibes and a dynamic stage presence.
And there's even more to enjoy at the Party in the Square! Families can also take part in the Little Sprocket bike course, explore the food truck and beverage garden, browse the May Days Market, visit the Emergency Preparedness Fair and the Family Quiet Zone, and connect with PoCo Heritage and Museum and the PoCo Arts Council, with many other surprises in store.
Getting to May Days
To make getting to and from the May Days Festival easy, attendees are encouraged to use transit, walk, cycle, or take advantage of the free round-trip shuttle services to downtown Port Coquitlam.
Ride your bike to May Days! Safely park your bike at our free Bike Valet, located at Rowland Park (2240 Wilson Avenue).
Shuttles will run every 30 minutes from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. from the following pick-up locations:
- Minnekhada Middle School
- James Park Elementary School
- École Mary Hill Elementary School
- Castle Park Elementary School
Shuttle buses will drop off event-goers at the parking lot of the Port Coquitlam Community Centre (PCCC) on Kingsway Avenue, between Kelly Avenue and Wilson Avenue. Strollers are allowed on the shuttle buses and should be folded and placed in the luggage area. Accessible shuttle buses will be available at both the north and south side pick-up locations.
