For the fifth consecutive year, the City of Port Coquitlam is inviting children and youth to bring the holiday spirit to life by submitting festive artwork for a chance to be featured on the cover of the City’s official Christmas card. Submissions are open until Sunday, November 16.
This annual initiative celebrates young artists and the creativity that defines Port Coquitlam’s vibrant community. Last year, more than 45 pieces of artwork were submitted and displayed throughout the City and on the official holiday card cover, spreading joy and goodwill across the community.
Selected artwork will once again be featured on Christmas cards sent by Mayor and Council to community partners, volunteers, and organizations in December. In addition, seniors living in Port Coquitlam long-term care homes will receive personalized holiday cards featuring the children’s artwork and a message from Mayor and Council.
In addition to being featured on the Christmas card, selected artwork will appear on the City’s website, social media channels, and outdoor digital signage, allowing the broader community to enjoy the creativity and festive spirit of local youth.
How to Participate
Children and youth are encouraged to submit drawings, paintings, crafts, or handwritten notes that capture holiday and winter themes. Artwork must be submitted as a high-quality JPEG, PNG, GIF, or PDF file (7 inches wide by 5 inches high) to ensure print quality. Entries can be uploaded at portcoquitlam.ca/artwork by November 16.
This initiative builds on the City’s ongoing commitment to celebrating the creativity of its young residents through programs like PoCo Proud, which showcases children’s artwork on City-wide signage, billboards, and online platforms. By involving youth in civic initiatives, the City continues to foster pride, connection, and community spirit.
