For the fourth consecutive year, Port Coquitlam is inviting children and youth to help spread joy this holiday season by submitting holiday-themed artwork for a chance to be featured on the cover of the City’s official Christmas card by Sunday, November 24.
This annual initiative celebrates young artists and the vibrant community spirit of Port Coquitlam. Last year, 30 pieces of artwork were received and prominently displayed throughout the City and on the holiday card cover, spreading warmth and positivity. Selected artwork will once again be showcased on the holiday cards sent by Mayor and Council to key stakeholders, volunteers, and community groups in December. Additionally, all seniors residing in Port Coquitlam long-term care homes will receive a personalized holiday card featuring the children’s artwork and a message from Mayor and Council.
In addition to being featured on the Christmas card, the artwork will be shared on the City’s website, social media platforms, and outdoor digital signage, giving the broader community an opportunity to enjoy these holiday cheer.
Children and youth are encouraged to express their creativity through holiday and winter-themed messages, whether in the form of drawings, paintings, crafts, or handwritten notes. Submissions must be high-quality JPEG, PNG, GIF, or PDF files and should match the dimensions of seven inches wide by five inches high for the card format., by Nov. 24 at portcoquitlam.ca/artwork.
This holiday project continues to build on the City’s ongoing commitment in showcasing the creativity and spirit of its young residents, following similar efforts like PoCo Proud, which highlights children’s artwork on citywide signs, billboards, and online spaces. By involving young residents in these initiatives, the City celebrates their contributions while fostering a sense of pride and connection in the community.
