City of Port Coquitlam Launches New Priority Registration for Drop-in Programs for Port Coquitlam Residents

News

The City continues to make improvements for residents of Port Coquitlam to access a wide variety of drop-in registered programs.

Port Coquitlam residents will now have increased priority access to drop-in registered recreation programs where advance registration will be required for popular activities at arenas, gymnasiums, fitness classes and pools.

Effective Tues. April 2, Port Coquitlam residents will have the opportunity to sign up for registered drop-in programs two days prior to start of program at 8:00 a.m. and non-residents will be able to register two days prior to start of program at 10:00 a.m. To register for drop-in programs visit portcoquitlam.ca/register.

Your Spot Awaits, Don't Let it Go to Waste

To ensure everyone has an equal opportunity to participate in drop-in recreation activities, the City is encouraging all patrons who cannot attend or needs to withdraw, to do so with at least a minimum of two hours before the activity begins.

In the event of a missed class/activity without prior notification, a record of the absence will be noted on a participants account. Upon accumulation of three no-shows, access to membership benefits may be temporarily put on hold for one week. The City understands that unforeseen circumstances occur, and the Recreation team will provide assistance and support where possible.

Patrons can withdraw online up until midnight the day prior to class or up to two hours prior to start time by emailing [email protected] or calling 604-927-PLAY (7529).

This new process allows for a spot to be opened up for others to join in, maximize participation and ensure that as many people as possible can enjoy the variety of activities offered. More details can be found at portcoquitlam.ca/recreation under the tab 'Know Before You Go' webpage.
