Celebrate Family Day in Port Coquitlam over the long weekend with free activities for the whole family on Saturday, February 14 and Monday, February 16. Get active, be creative, and enjoy quality time together with programs at City facilities across the community.
Residents are encouraged to pre-register at portcoquitlam.ca/register as programs fill up quickly.
Michael Wright Art Gallery (Unit #200-2253 Leigh Square)
- Family Art in the Gallery - Saturday, February 14 | 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Families are invited to drop by the Michael Wright Art Gallery in Leigh Square to enjoy the current art exhibition and make art inspired by the art and artists. All materials are supplied for this free program. No registration is required. - Family Day Movie and Valentines: Winnie the Pooh – A Valentine for You Activity #: 124968 – Saturday, February 14 | 1:30 – 3:00 p.m.
Celebrate Valentine’s Day with family and friends at a cozy, heartwarming community screening of Winnie the Pooh: A Valentine for You, the charming short film featuring everyone’s favourite friends from the Hundred Acre Wood. After enjoying the short film together, families will be invited to stay and take part in a guided craft activity where you’ll create your own Valentine’s cards inspired by Pooh, Piglet, and their friends. With simple materials and plenty of creativity, it’s a fun way to share kindness and make something special together.

Bring your family to the pool to celebrate Family Day. - Playmania Family Day – Monday, February 16 | 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. and 10:45 a.m.-12:15 p.m.
Register for this free, family-friendly program and have fun exploring a variety of playtime activities in the PCCC gym with your child. The program is for children ages 1 to 5 and adult participation is required. Infant siblings are welcome. - Ring, Stick and Puck – Monday, February 16 | 9:15 –10:30 a.m. and 10:45 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
Fun, recreational time on the ice for everyone to practice ring, stick, and puck skills. Participants supply their sticks and hockey gloves; skates and helmets are available to rent. - Family Play and Skate – Monday, February 16 | 9:30 - 11:00 a.m.
Families can enjoy skating together with their young children. Interactive on-ice activity zones are designed for family fun and learning to skate. Activities include using shopping carts, sleds and giant blocks, as well as designated skating and hockey zones. - Public Skate - Monday, February 16 | 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Enjoy being active with family and friends by attending a Public Skate at the Port Coquitlam Community Centre.
Hyde Creek Recreation Centre (1379 Laurier Ave.)
- Free Public Swim – Monday, February 16 | 1:00 – 2:50 p.m. and 3:00 – 4:50 p.m
