Port Coquitlam is celebrating the class of 2023 by proclaiming June 19 to 25 as Grad Week, lighting up City Hall in school colours and providing Congrats Grad 2023 photo backdrops in City parks.
The City is celebrating graduating students by:
- Posting a congratulatory message in the Tri-City News, posting an underpass banner on Shaughnessy Street and digital billboards starting the week of June 19.
- Lighting up City Hall in each of the five-secondary school colours (Terry Fox Secondary, Riverside Secondary, Archbishop Carney, École des Pionniers and BC Christian Academy) starting June 16 and sharing on social media.
While all City parks and trails are available for graduates to take photos, the City is inviting graduates to mark their special milestone with the Congrats Grad 2023 photo backdrops that have been placed in the following locations:
- Blakeburn Park (1010 Riverside Dr.)
- Lions Park (2300 Lions Way)
- Castle Park (2252 Castle Cres.)
The City encourages local grads to come out and celebrate their graduations in the natural beauty of the community.
