Fall is in the air, bringing with it a fresh season of opportunities to move, create, and connect right here in Port Coquitlam. From sports and fitness to arts programs, swimming, and skating lessons, there’s something for everyone to get active, learn a new skill, and meet new friends.

- Afterschool Active: Participate in active fun in a variety of sports such as soccer, basketball, floor hockey, volleyball, and more.
- Arts and Culture: Tap into your creativity and learn a new skill like printmaking, painting, pottery, ukulele, or guitar. Kids can learn how to build with clay, make their own stuffed animals, or take an acting class. See pages 50-56 of the guide for more.

- Day Camps (Ages 3 to 17): Plan for the upcoming school year and enroll in a Pro D Day or Winter Break Camp! There are skating, arts, and explorer camps available. Details are on pages 4-5 of the fall guide.
- Fitness (All ages): A variety of aerobics classes, yoga, and wellness classes are available for all fitness abilities. Check the schedule at portcoquitlam.ca/fitness.
- Playschool Outside and Playschool Inside (Ages 3 to 5): Looking for a preschool alternative or addition to your child care? Playschool Outside offers a nature-based early learning experience in the beautiful outdoor spaces around Hyde Creek Recreation Centre. Combine it with Playschool Inside for even more fun. See pages 38-45 of the guide for details.
- Public Skating Programs and Lessons (All ages): Take private or group lessons to perfect your skating technique. Check the schedule at portcoquitlam.ca/skating.
- Seniors Activities (Adult 60+): Want to try something new? Join our new ukulele drop-in, learn how to make beautiful flower arragements or have fun in carpet bowling. Enjoy lunch or coffee at the Wilson Kitchen, open Mon–Fri from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Find out more on pages 46-49 of the guide.
- Swimming Lessons (All ages): Swim lessons are available for all swim levels, including Parent and Tot, Preschool, Swimmer, and Advanced Aquatics. For details and schedule, visit portcoquitlam.ca/swimming.
- Youth Activities: The HC and PCCC Youth Activity Lounges are open and free spaces for youth to spend time with friends. Show off your skills and join us for a free Table Tennis Tournament on November 17! Beginner and advanced players are welcome. Learn more on pages 32-37 of the guide.
Child-Minding
Families with young children (ages 3 months to 5 years) can take advantage of child-minding at both Hyde Creek Recreation Centre and the Port Coquitlam Community Centre. Your child can play in a safe and nurturing environment supervised by staff while you enjoy a class, take a swim, or work out in the fitness centre. Sign up here.
Financial Assistance, Accessibility, and Inclusion
The City offers a variety of supports and resources to ensure all residents have the opportunity to get involved in recreation and arts programs. Through the Financial Assistance Program, eligible families can receive a 75 per cent discount on activities, including camps.
