Due to ongoing heavy rainfall, localized flooding and saturated ground conditions are affecting some areas of the City.
As a precaution, the following trail closures remain in effect, along with the closure of all sports fields.
Trail Closures
- Under Red Bridge
- Under Kingsway Bridge
- East side: trail from Lions Park to Maple Trail
- West side: trail from Davies Street to Kingsway Avenue
- Patricia Footbridge – small section on the northeast trail portion
- PoCo Trail – small section north of the back of Shaughnessy Dog Park
Parking lot closed at Gates Park off of Reeve Street and Wilson Avenue.
City crews are taking proactive measures and have activated a Department Operations Centre (DOC) to actively monitor conditions, drainage systems, and pump stations. Sandbags are available at the Cedar Park and the Public Works Yard for residents who may need them.
Residents are encouraged to use caution in low-lying areas and report any issues or concerns as conditions change.
