An atmospheric river is expected to bring heavy rain tonight through Wednesday. Warm air with the system will cause freezing levels to rise and snowmelt combined with the rain may result in high streamflows and localized flooding.
City crews are monitoring conditions and prepared to respond. Here's what you can do to prevent flooding and stay safe during heavy rainfall:
Avoid rivers, creeks and potentially unstable banks.
Clear leaves and debris from drains and catch basins.
Drive with caution, check conditions before you head out, and avoid unnecessary travel when conditions are poor
