Update (March 5 , 2026 | 10:40am): Terry Fox Library is expected to remain open (tentative agreement reached).
Fraser Valley Regional Library (FVRL) has advised that it reached a tentative agreement with the union this morning, subject to ratification by union membership and approval by FVRL’s Board. As a result, the previously anticipated service disruption is not expected to proceed at this time, and Terry Fox Library is expected to remain open.
Terry Fox Library is located within the Port Coquitlam Community Centre. Recreation centre operations will continue as normal, and recreation centre hours, programs, rentals, and other City services are expected to remain unaffected.
Fraser Valley Regional Library is a separate organization and is not operated by the City of Port Coquitlam. Library employees are not City employees.
