Port Coquitlam, BC - September 24, 2026...The City of Port Coquitlam celebrated the winners of the 2026 PoCo Best Biz Awards this evening at an invitation-only event at the Port Coquitlam Community Centre, where more than 150 guests joined in recognizing the local businesses that stood out to voters and to an independent selection committee this year.
“Port Coquitlam’s business community showed up in a big way this year, from the number of nominations we received to the votes cast in our new Community Choice categories,” said Mayor Brad West. “Congratulations to all of tonight’s winners and finalists. Your hard work and dedication to our residents is what makes Port Coquitlam such a great place to live, work and shop.”
This year's winners are:
Business of the Year (Awards Selection Committee): Phoenix Truck and Crane
Best Bite in Town (Community Choice – Dining): Cassandra Cake Co.
Best Sip in Town (Community Choice – Beverage): Patina Brewing Co.
Best Local Find (Community Choice – Retail): Western Sky Books
Best Local Service (Community Choice – Professional Service): Strong & Calm Pilates Studio
Family Favourite (Community Choice – Family-Oriented Business), co-winners: Me-N-Ed’s Pizza Parlor and Quest Central Gaming Lounge
Legacy Business of the Year, co-winners: The Arms Pub and Coquitlam Florist
This year's Best Biz Awards introduced a new Community Choice voting model, inviting the public to select winners in five categories following a nomination period that ran from July 20 to August 16 and a voting period from August 28 to September 13. The Business of the Year award was selected by the Awards Selection Committee. The evening also recognized The Arms Pub and Coquitlam Florist with the Legacy Business of the Year Award, a special category honouring businesses that have proudly served Port Coquitlam for more than 25 years.
