Port Coquitlam's Winter In The City Launches This Weekend

It's time to get into the holiday spirit and there's no place like downtown Port Coqutilam for the holidays! Experience the joy and wonder of the City's annual Christmas in the Square at the Port Coquitlam Community Centre (PCCC) including a winter market, sip-n-shop and family-friendly activities for everyone to enjoy on Saturday, Dec. 2 from 12:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Event-goers can support local businesses and artisans, enjoy food trucks, an indoor sip-n-shop from local craft breweries, official lighting of City tree, photos with Santa, holiday craft making, music and live entertainment.

Photo Contest

Take a picture at Christmas in the Square at one of three City Christmas frames which will be placed throughout the site. Tag @cityofpoco for a chance to win a $250 City swag gift pack until Dec. 18.

Winter Artisan Market - 12:00 - 8:00 p.m

Gift-seekers will find handmade treasures, quality art, fine crafts, fresh crepes and other refreshments. Admission is free and there will be draw prizes from the market vendors so be sure to enter! More information can be found at portcoquitlam.ca/christmas.

Make sure to be outside the Mabbett Hall for the lighting ceremony of the PoCo BIA Christmas tree.

The weekend also kicks off the 11th Annual Christmas Tree Festival, which invites the public to vote for their favourite tree. The festival, a fundraiser for PoCo Heritage, runs from Dec. 2 to 15. More information is available at downtownpocobia.com.
