Spooky Fun Awaits At The Halloween Howl On October 18

Families are invited to join the Halloween Howl on Saturday, October 18 at Hyde Creek Recreation Centre (1379 Laurier Avenue) for a safe and fun indoor Halloween celebration. Designed for children 10 years and under, this popular event features festive games and activities such as pumpkin bowling, fortune telling, and a haunted house.

To give more families the opportunity to take part, the event has been expanded into two shorter sessions this year:

  • Session 1: 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
  • Session 2: 2:00 – 3:30 p.m.

Each registered child will receive a goodie bag at the end of the event. One accompanying adult is included with each child’s registration, and additional adults are $2 each.

Event Schedule:

  • 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.: Carnival & Haunted House (Session 1)
  • 2:00 – 3:30 p.m.: Carnival & Haunted House (Session 2)
  • 1:00 – 8:00 p.m.: Spooky Swim (Drop-in, pay at the front desk)

Pricing:

  • Child (1-12 years old): $10 each
  • 1 free Adult per registered Child
  • Additional Adults: $2 each
  • Spooky Swim: $2 per person
  • Babies 1 year and under: Free

Registration opens online at portcoquitlam.ca/register starting Wednesday, October 1 at 8:00 a.m. for Port Coquitlam residents, and Thursday, October 3 at 8:00 a.m. for non-residents. Families are encouraged to register early, as tickets sell out quickly every year.

On event day, participants will need to sign in upon arrival at Hyde Creek Recreation Centre and receive their wristbands.
