Spring Program Registration Opens Feb. 24

Spring is almost here, and so is a fresh lineup of exciting programs for all ages! From getting active to being creative, this season is packed with opportunities for Port Coquitlam residents to move, create, and connect.

Registration for spring programs opens to Port Coquitlam residents on Tuesday, February 24 at 8:00 a.m., with registration opening to the general public on Friday, February 27 at 8:00 a.m.

Register online at portcoquitlam.ca/register for the following programs:

  • Childrens Activities: Spring is the perfect time to get outside and be active! We offer a variety of Pro D Day Camps learn more on page 4-5  and registered programs including Little Sprockets bike programs on page 11 and Afterschool Active programs like Nature and Games on page 40-41.    
  • Youth Activities: Celebrate Youth Week from May 1-7! Join us for FREE recreation activities – Carnival, Sport tournament, Board Game Night and more! We also have New Try it Recreation Program where youth can try new leisure activities in Port Coquitlam! Learn more about youth programming on pages 30-35 or visit: portcoquitlam.ca/youth.
  • Seniors Activities (Adult 60+): Celebrate Seniors Week from June 1-7! Joins us as we appreciate the many contributions seniors have made to the community. Learn more about seniors programming on pages 40-43 or visit: portcoquitlam.ca/seniors.
  • Arts Classes: Get creative with visual and performing arts classes and workshops for all ages, including music, theatre, pottery, fiber arts, and painting. Join our new classic rock choir, TriCities Rock! Learn more about Arts & Culture programming on pages 44-47.
  • Swimming Lessons (all ages): Swim lessons for a variety of levels, including preschool, Swim Kids, and Advanced Aquatics. For details, visit portcoquitlam.ca/swimming.
  • Public Skating Programs and Lessons (all ages): Take private or group lessons to perfect your skating technique. Schedule: portcoquitlam.ca/skating.
  • Fitness (all ages): A variety of fitness, yoga, and wellness classes. Schedule: portcoquitlam.ca/fitness.
  • Sports (Adults 18+): Get moving this spring and try a new sport. From pickleball, basketball, badminton to volleyball there is something for every level. Schedule: portcoquitlam.ca/sports.

Other Spring Events

  • Art Exhibition Opening Reception: Join us on Friday, May 8 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. for the opening of the annual Student Art Exhibition featuring the work of students from Riverside Secondary, Terry Fox Secondary, Ecole des Pionniers and Archbishop Carney Regional Secondary School. Meet the artists while enjoying live music and refreshments. We look forward to welcoming you to this inspiring evening of art and reflection.   • May Days: Join us for the 103 May Days! The celebration begins on May 3 with the Opening Ceremonies starting at 3:00 p.m. and then on May 9 for the main May Days event starting at 10:00 a.m. Don’t miss the May Days Kids Bike Race, May Days Parade, Party in the Square, and other family fun! Financial Assistance, Accessibility, and Inclusion
 
The City offers a variety of supports and resources to ensure all residents have the opportunity to get involved in recreation and arts programs. Through the Financial Assistance Program, eligible families can receive a 75 per cent discount on activities, including camps.

Registration Tips
 
Follow these tips to make registration smoother and increase your chances of getting into your preferred programs:

  • Manage your account: Create or update your ActiveNet account at portcoquitlam.ca/register. Use Active Net filters to narrow down your search and find the programs suitable for you and your family members.Ensure your contact information and profile details are accurate for you and any linked family members. For children, update allergy details, support needs, life jacket need, walking permissions, and emergency contacts.
  • Preview programs early: Browse programs online before registration day to view the most up-to-date offerings. Spring programs will be available to view online starting February 17, 2026.
  • Build your wishlist: “Heart” your favourite programs to create a personalized wishlist. On registration day, simply open your wishlist and register directly. There is no need to search again. (Note: You must be signed in to use this feature)
