Calling all Port Coquitlam shutterbugs! The City is inviting submissions of photos of people enjoying recognizable Port Coquitlam spaces and events for its 2026 community calendar.
High-resolution photos may be submitted by Oct. 6 at portcoquitlam.ca/photos. The calendar is mailed to thousands of local households each year and features photos, waste collection information and event listings, along with blank calendar space for users.
Next year’s calendar will be entitled PoCo Life and focus on residents or visitors enjoying the City’s many picturesque public spaces and family-friendly events.
For the best possibility of having your photo selected, submit images that include people in a publicly-accessible location in Port Coquitlam, and clearly show the setting and context (i.e., no closeups). Photos from all four seasons are required.
In addition to potentially being in the calendar, submitted images may also be displayed on hydro utility boxes or featured in City publications or facilities throughout the coming year. All submitted photos will also be placed in the online gallery at portcoquitlam.ca/photos.
Photo credits are applied to all submitted photos used in the calendar, and whenever possible in other City publications.
To be considered, photos must meet the following criteria:
- Format: JPEG, PNG, or TIFF
- Orientation: Horizontal
- Size: Minimum 300 dpi at 13” wide by 10” deep, or a file size of at least 2 MB
- File Label: Include the photo name or topic, year taken, and photographer’s name (e.g., May Days Music-2025-Bob Smith.jpg)
For more information or to upload photos, visit portcoquitlam.ca/photos.
