Voting is now open for the People’s Choice Award in the 2025 PoCo Best Biz Awards. Anyone can vote for their favourite nominated business until February 16. Voters who live in Port Coquitlam will be entered in a draw for a $100 gift card to a local business.
A total of 233 nominations were received this year—the second highest in the program’s 10-year history. All nominees are eligible for the People’s Choice Award, which will be determined by public vote.
This year, 99 local businesses have been nominated in one of four categories:
- Small Business of the Year – less than 6 employees, includes home-based businesses
- Business of the Year – 6 or more employees operating for more than 3 years
- New Business of the Year –recently opened within the past 3 years
- BIA Downtown Business of Year – contributes to the downtown vitality and community

PoCo Best Biz Awards Celebration
Winners will be announced at the 10th PoCo Best Biz Awards Celebration on Thursday, February 27, from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the Port Coquitlam Community Centre - Mabbett Hall, (2150 Wilson Ave.). The event will feature networking opportunities, refreshments, and entertainment.
Local businesses are invited to attend, with up to two complimentary seats available per business. Registration is open at portcoquitlam.ca/bizawards until February 21, with limited space available. Early registration is recommended.
