Winter in the City Kick-Off Starts This Saturday November 29

Port Coquitlam is inviting residents to take part in this year’s Winter in the City festivities on Saturday, November 29, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Port Coquitlam Community Centre (2150 Wilson Ave.). The annual celebration will feature the expanded Winter Artisan Market, live entertainment, seasonal food and beverages, and family activities throughout the day.

The community can enjoy a range of holiday experiences, including Christmas in the Square, craft vendors, roving performers, and the community tree lighting. With new activities added for 2025, the event offers a welcoming start to the holiday season for visitors of all ages.

Event Highlights – November 29

Winter Artisan Market (10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.)
Browse handmade gifts, artwork, and seasonal goods while enjoying crepes and refreshments. Free admission, with prize entry opportunities from market vendors. Visit portcoquitlam.ca/christmas for details.
Live Entertainment (10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.)
Performances from Collage Singers, Carmelina Cupo Trio, Asi Somos, Phat Santa Swing, Coastal Sound Choir, and roving entertainment by Buddy the Elf.
Beverage Garden (10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.)
Featuring local favourites Nice Life Co., Patina Brewing, Taylight Brewing, and a festive mimosa bar.
Food Vendors (10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.)
Selections from Me N Ed’s, Cassandra Cakes and seasonal treats available throughout the market.
Photos with Santa (10:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.)
By donation to PoCo Heritage.
Letters to Santa (10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.)
Children can create and send their holiday wishes at a dedicated letter-writing station.
Tree Lighting Ceremony (5:00 p.m.)
A community gathering at the main entrance for the lighting of the City’s Christmas tree.

Holiday Family Movie: Sing-along to Frozen – Dec. 13

CPKC Holiday Train – Dec. 20
