Winter is almost here, and the City is thrilled to present a blizzard of programs for all ages, designed to keep you moving, creating, and connecting this season. Whether you’re looking to stay active, explore new skills, or make meaningful connections, there’s something for everyone.
Port Coquitlam residents are invited to register for winter programming on Tuesday, Nov. 19 at 8:00 a.m., and the general public can register on Friday, Nov. 22 at 8:00 a.m.

- Day Camps: Plan for the busy season ahead and enroll your child in Pro D Day and Spring Break Camps! From skating to arts and sports there is lots of fun to be had this winter. Details in the winter leisure guide, pages 4-5.
- Holiday Art Programs: Looking for some holiday fun this festive season? Register for one of our holiday art programs. Learn how to create a holiday-themed mug or a beautiful centerpiece for your holiday table. Details in the winter leisure guide on page 52.
- Playschool Outside (Ages 3 to 5): Need an activity for your little one? Children will enjoy the outdoors and learning opportunities as they explore Hyde Creek’s beautiful natural forest and trails. Physical activity and imaginative play are part of the daily routine. Details in the winter leisure guide, pages 36-43.
- Youth Activities (Ages 11-18): New this winter! School is out, but the fun is in. Register for Youth Pro D Day Camp at the Hyde Creek Youth Centre. Learn more on page 7.
- Seniors Activities (Adults 60+): This winter, learn something new! Learn how to make a beautiful quilt, pick up a new language with beginner Spanish, or travel the world and learn about different cultures at Armchair Travel. Details in the winter leisure guide, pages 44-47.
- Terry Fox Library: Meet fellow book lovers and join the Coffee Mug Book Club. New members are always welcome, attend a meeting to join! Learn more on pages 54-55 or visit fvrl.ca.
- Swimming Lessons (All ages): Swim lessons for a variety of levels, including preschool, Swim Kids and Advanced Aquatics. For details, visit portcoquitlam.ca/swimming.
- Public Skating Programs and Lessons (All ages): Take private or group lessons to perfect your skating technique. Schedule: portcoquitlam.ca/skating.
- Fitness (All ages): A variety of fitness, yoga, and wellness classes. Schedule: portcoquitlam.ca/fitness.
Financial Assistance, Accessibility, and Inclusion
The City offers a variety of supports and resources to ensure all residents have the opportunity to get involved in recreation and arts programs. Through the Financial Assistance Program, eligible families can receive a 75 percent discount on activities, including camps.
