Christmas and New Year’s Hours for Civic Facilities

News

In recognition of the Christmas and New Year’s holiday period, the City of Port Coquitlam City Hall and Annex will close to the public at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 24, and reopen on Friday, January 2, 2026.

During the closure, many services remain accessible online at portcoquitlam.ca/connect including transactions, interactive tools and access to forms and information.
 
The business license renewal deadline is January 15, 2026. During the holiday closure, cheque payments may be submitted via the drop box located at the main entrance of City Hall. Post-dated cheques dated January 15 will be accepted.
 
City operations such as Parks, Recreation and Public Works will continue throughout most of the holidays.

    • January 2: Regular hours resume, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

    • December 28: 1:00 – 5:00 p.m.
    • December 29 – 30: 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.

    • January 1: Closed
    • January 2: 10:00 a.m – 5:00 p.m.
       
  • Waste and Recycling Collection:
    • December 24: Zone 3 – Blue and Green Bins
    • December 25: No collection
    • Dec. 26: Extra Recycling - Zones 3, 4, and part of Zone 5 (Langan Street and streets to the north)
    • December 27: Zones 1, 2, & remainder of Zone 5 (South of Langan Street)
    • December 29: Zone 4 – Blue and Green Bins
    • December 30: Zone 5 – Blue and Green Bins
    • December 31: Zone 1 – Blue and Green Bins
    • January 1: No collection
    • January 2: Regular collection resumes. Zone 1 – Blue and Green Bins

Residents are encouraged to plan accordingly and make any necessary service arrangements in advance of the holidays.

Residents can report City service issues using the PoCo Sort and Report app, by emailing portcoquitlam.ca/report or by calling 604.927.3111.
