Terry Fox Hometown Run

To ensure the safety of all participants, the following roads will be subject to closures. Residents are encouraged to avoid driving in the area during the event and to remove any parked vehicles from the affected streets by 8:00 a.m. to allow for volunteer setup. 

6:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. 

• 1300 block Laurier Ave., from Hyde Creek Recreation Centre to Coast Meridian Rd. (no parking on both sides) 

7:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. 

• Coast Meridian Rd. (northbound and southbound) from Laurier Ave. to Kingsway Ave. 
• Coast Meridian Connector north of Tim Hortons (access to Tim Hortons via Lougheed Hwy.) 
• Coast Meridian Overpass 
• 2100–1700 block of Kingsway Ave., from Wilson Ave. to Broadway Ave. (no parking on both sides) 
• 2100 block of Kelly Ave., from Mary Hill Rd. to Kingsway Ave. 
• Mary Hill Rd. from Wilson Ave. to Kelly Ave. 
• Wilson Ave. from Mary Hill Rd. to Kingsway Ave. 

Detours will be in place, and signage will guide drivers through alternate routes. Residents affected by these closures will have access to their homes but may need to show their BC driver's licence at checkpoints. For those in Manning Square, 3046 Coast Meridian Road, and Beaumaris Close, access will be allowed when it is safe to permit traffic through. 

The PCCC parkade's Kingsway entrance, along with the Wilson Ave and Kingsway Ave lots, will be closed from 10 p.m. Saturday until roads reopen Sunday (approx. noon). The Mary Hill Road access will stay open all day for parkade traffic only, and the gravel lot across the street at Wilson and Kingsway will be available for overflow parking. A full parking advisory will be issued closer to the event date. 

Due to limited parking, participants are encouraged to use transit, walk, or cycle to the event.
