Coquitlam River Watershed Rain Garden Mural

Located in Lions Park, Port Coquitlam the Rain Garden Mural is part of a community demonstration project led by the Coquitlam River Watershed Society in partnership with the City of Port Coquitlam and the Port Coquitlam Community Foundation. Created by local artist Laura Kwok in 2024, the mural celebrates the beauty of the Coquitlam River and the native plants found in the rain garden, while highlighting the important role rain gardens play in managing stormwater and protecting watershed health.

The mural and surrounding rain garden offer an engaging way for visitors to learn about rainwater management, local ecology, and simple actions that can help protect the Coquitlam River and its salmon habitat.
