Parade of Lights

Get ready for a spectacular start to the holidays as the Port Coquitlam Parade of Lights returns for its second annual event! Join us in downtown Port Coquitlam on Saturday, December 6 at 5pm for a magical evening of illuminated City vehicles and more. The parade will feature a special appearance by Santa Claus, who will bring up the end of the procession.

This free, family-friendly event is the perfect way to make lasting memories and celebrate the Christmas season. Following the parade, the fun continues with a variety of free activities, including:

A public skate at the Port Coquitlam Community Centre (PCCC).
Hot chocolate and festive treats.
Holiday-themed arts and crafts in the PCCC lobby.

The Parade of Lights is a highlight of Port Coquitlam’s Winter in the City programming, created to bring our community together and celebrate the holiday spirit.

Businesses and organizations are invited to apply to join our 2025 Parade of Lights!

Santa’s are not permitted. The City will provide the official Santa and all others will be removed.
All entries must be well-lit.
All entries may incorporate live or recorded seasonal music into the float. Content must be appropriate for all ages.
Throwing items during the parade is not permitted.
All entries are required to maintain a continuous forward motion during the parade.
No alcoholic beverages are permitted on the parade route.
No advertising of drugs, alcohol, tobacco products, or illegal activities are permitted.
Any vehicles acting or driving unsafely will be removed from the parade.
All vehicle drivers must have a valid driver’s license to participate.
