Help spread some cheer this holiday season by submitting holiday-themed artwork! The artwork was shared in the City’s holiday messages throughout the season, displayed on the cover of the annual Mayor and Council holiday cards, and displayed in cards sent to seniors in Port Coquitlam long-term care homes with a personalized message from Mayor and Council.

Decorate your holiday cards and gift tags with your own unique, beautiful handwriting. Learn the art of lettering using authentic calligraphy dip pens and ink. Tools and paper will be provided.

Make Your Own Holiday Ceramic Tile – The Outlet
Decorate your home, or gift someone an ornamental clay tile, made by you! Explore the art of shaping this medium into a unique gift. In the first session, participants will learn basic techniques of working with clay: wedging, slab-making and surface decoration. The second session will focus on painting. The tile will be glazed and fired, ready for pick up one week after.

Holiday Ornament Making – Port Coquitlam Community Centre
Make your own pottery heirloom ornaments! This workshop will give participants the opportunity to decorate a pottery ornament with their own unique design. All tools, materials and instruction will be provided. When finished, each ornament will be clear glazed and fired in the kiln.

Canadian Pacific Holiday Train
The CP Holiday Train rolled into Port Coquitlam on Dec. 18, marking the end of the Canadian Pacific Railway Holiday Train’s cross-country journey. Every year, the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train stops through dozens of communities, raising food and cash donations for North American food banks.
