Hosting a block party is a great way to connect, celebrate, and build a stronger community right in your neighbourhood. Block Parties can take place in common spaces, cul-de-sacs, or on low-traffic roads.
The first 60 approved Block Parties will receive a $150 Freshmart gift certificate to help cover the cost of food and party supplies, along with a PoCo Party Connection Kit brought to you by the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) Human Connection Project that includes a frisbee, stickers, a City-branded barbecue apron, beach ball, sidewalk chalk, and more fun ways to get to know your neighbours.
Reasons to Hold a Block Party

- Build Community Spirit: Strengthen the sense of belonging in your area.
