For all tree cutting or removal, planting of a replacement tree is mandatory (2 replacement trees if the tree removed is a significant tree), in accordance with a tree replacement plan [PDF/206KB] approved by the City.

Review our Tree Replacement List [PDF/577KB] for a general list of acceptable tree species. Each replacement tree must be a minimum caliper diameter of 5.0 cm if deciduous, or a minimum height of 2.0 m if coniferous or evergreen. Caliper diameter is measured at 15.0 cm above the root ball.
